Armstrong Ambulance provides superior advanced life support services through the use of the following ground breaking equipment:
The LUCAS 2 Chest Compression System is designed to deliver uninterrupted compressions at a consistent rate and depth to facilitate ROSC (return of spontaneous circulation). It delivers automated compressions from first response in the field to ambulance transport and throughout the hospital. LUCAS2 facilitates consistent blood flow from the moment it is turned on, helping to improve a patient’s chance for a successful outcome. With LUCAS2, defibrillation can occur during ongoing compressions that can prime the heart for a successful shock. Also continuous compressions help maintain coronary perfusion pressure needed to facilitate ROSC.
The Zoll E-Series Monitor – Defibrillator – Pacer cardiac monitors are all equipped with the latest electronic Respironics™ End-tidal mainstream and sidestream CO2 detection technology, as well as Masimo™ SET pulse oximetry monitoring technology. The Zoll-E Series monitors feature Zoll’s patented Rectilinear Biphasic Waveform Technology, which is the only biphasic waveform technology to receive a class IIA treatment designation from the American Heart Association in its Guidelines 2005 ACLS curriculum.
The Zoll AED Pro Defibrillator and the E-Series Cardiac Monitor are programmed to be compliant with the American Heart Association Guidelines 2005 and Massachusetts OEMS protocols version 6.04, making Armstrong one of the first ambulance services in the State of Massachusetts to be fully compliant and practicing under those guidelines. Also, the Zoll E-Series and Zoll AED Pro easily share electrodes, data and multiple configuration possibilities.
The HT50 Ventilator is the industry’s gold standard for critical respiratory care. It features rugged construction, easy trigger sensitivity, and fast re-charge from AC or external DC. This gas powered ventilator is capable of providing assistance to the patient requiring mechanical ventilation. The HT50 allows for synchronized minimum mandatory ventilation (SMMV) and consistent ventilation rates and volumes that manual resuscitators cannot provide. It can be configured to accommodate a range of patients requiring IMV, SIMV, PEEP and Assist Control ventilator settings.
The Siemens (3) Channel Infusion Pump provides accurate delivery for intravenous medications with three independent infusion channels. The device allows medical facilities to retain their own infusion pumps. The Siemens infusion pump is the preferred delivery system for aero-medical and critical care transport teams.
The EZ-IO system is a battery-powered device used to place a stable port, via the intraosseous route, when existing methods of vascular access are challenging or impossible. Under these circumstances, there’s no better solution for the rapid, secure and safe delivery of drugs and fluids.
