The fleet at Armstrong Ambulance consists of over 90 vehicles. All of our ambulances have GPS navigation monitored by dispatch operations. This ensures efficiency and utilization of the most direct routes resulting in on-time performance. Our fleet is staffed with over 350 highly trained emergency medical services (EMS) professionals. Being one of the largest fleets within the Commonwealth, we can assure you superior service.

Advanced Life Support (ALS)

With a workforce of highly trained paramedics that utilize state-of-the-art medical equipment and technology, our ALS fleet delivers the highest standard of care. The equipment includes 12-Lead cardiac monitors, portable ventilators, CPAP, infusion pumps and the Zoll EMS AutoPulse.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Armstrong’s highly trained emergency medical technicians operate an impressive BLS service. The state-of-the art equipment and technology include Zoll PRO Series Automatic Defibrillators.

Chair Vans

Armstrong chair vans are capable of transporting up to eight ambulatory passengers by lowering the interchangeable bench seats that are raised for wheelchair transport. In either situation, each passenger has his/her own shoulder and seat belt and the wheelchairs are secured utilizing ratchet straps attached to the floor of the vehicle.

Activity Bus

We offer an activity bus for elderly groups in long-term care facilities. Please contact our Communications Center to schedule an outing for these groups.

Bariatric Services

Providing emergency and routine transportation of bariatric patients weighing up to 650lbs., Armstrong’s EMTs are trained in the special needs encountered treating and transporting larger patients. Additionally, each EMT receives sensitivity, advanced safety and ergonomics training.

Dialysis Transportation

Dialysis patients are directly cared for by our EMT staff. The program is managed by our Patient Care Manager. At Armstrong, we understand the complexity of being compliant with reimbursement and health insurance documentation. Our Dialysis Billing Specialist is available to assist patients and family members.
